Whether you’re looking for moneylines, spreads, totals, first half lines, second half lines, props, or team and player futures, FOX Bet is the place to be for online MLS betting.

Major League Soccer betting is available all season long, starting with the regular season in March and continuing throughout the playoffs all the way to the MLS Cup in November.

There are dozens of different wagers you can make prior to the start of a match. They include (but are not necessarily limited to):

  • a straight-up winner, or wagering on the match ending in a draw (the moneyline)
  • a side to win against a goal spread
  • over or under the total number of goals that will be scored in the match (by both teams or by either team)
  • a first-half or second-half winner (or draw)
  • any one of a number of match-related props.

Moneyline odds are typically presented in the format of -XXX, +XXX, or EVEN (which is equal to +100). A negative number means that you’ll win less money than you’re wagering because you’re betting on the expected outcome, while a positive number will win you more than your wager because you’re betting on an outcome oddsmakers have deemed less likely to occur. Betting on EVEN odds mean you’ll win exactly the amount of money that you wager.

A spread represents a number set by oddsmakers to provide a numerical advantage or disadvantage based on the margin of victory or defeat for a given team. The team that is considered the “favorite” (noted with a “-” sign preceding the number) would need to win the match by a certain number of goals while the team that is considered the “underdog” (noted with a “+” sign preceding the number) is given a margin by which the team can lose the match but still “cover” the point spread.

To use an example, if the line is Atlanta (-1.5) vs. Portland (+1.5): a winning against-the-spread wager on Atlanta would require them to win by 2 goals or more. Portland is the winning wager in this scenario if the team either wins outright or loses the match by 1 goal. The Timbers are also the winning wager if the match ends in a draw, which is possible only during the MLS regular season.
