Red Bulls odds are available all season long, starting in the months leading up to the 34-game MLS regular season that starts in March and runs through October. The MLS Playoffs start in October and culminate in the MLS Cup championship game in November.

Since 2010, the Red Bulls have played their home games at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. Red Bull Arena seats 25,189 and has a surface of Kentucky Bluegrass. Prior to that, the soccer team played home games in Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Along with New York City FC, the Red Bulls are one of two MLS teams to call New York City home. The two soccer clubs have established a rivalry and games between the teams have are called the Hudson River Derby. The Red Bulls won the first Hudson River Derby by a score of 2-1 in 2015.

The Red Bulls have won the Supporters' Shield, which is awarded to the MLS team with the best regular season record, three times. In 2013, the Red Bulls finished with a record of 17-9-8. In 2015, the Red Bulls were 18-10-6. And in 2018, the soccer team went 22-7-5.

Despite finishing with the best regular season record three times, the Red Bulls have only advanced to the MLS Cup once. In 2008, the Red Bulls played the Columbus Crew, who were also making their first appearance in the championship game, at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The Red Bulls lost to the Crew, 3-1. John Wolyniec scored the lone goal for New York in the MLS Cup.

The Red Bulls have also advanced to the finals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, which is a tournament consisting of teams from Major League Soccer and the United Soccer League as well as amateur soccer clubs. Playing as the MetroStars, the New York soccer team lost 1-0 to the Chicago Fire in the 2003 U.S. Open Cup. In 2017, the Red Bulls lost 2-1 to Sporting Kansas City.

Goalkeeper Luis Robles is the Red Bulls' all-time leader in regular-season games played with 238. He also holds the team record for shutouts with 72. Forward Brandon Wright-Philips is the Red Bulls' career leader in goal with 108.
